Nearly three years ago, my family and I moved to Bulgaria from the UK, excited to start a new chapter of our lives.

One of the first things that struck me was the overwhelming number of stray dogs in our area, many of them suffering from neglect and lack of care. As a content creator with a large following, I knew I had a unique opportunity to make a difference.
Now, with over 500,000 followers across social media platforms, I’m using my voice to raise awareness and funds to establish a neutering centre here in Haskovo. This is just the beginning, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey to help the dogs that need us most.

The Challenge
The stray dog crisis in Bulgaria is widespread, with thousands of dogs living on the streets, struggling to survive without medical care, food, or shelter.
Unfortunately, the lack of neutering and spaying programs has led to an overwhelming number of unwanted puppies. These dogs often face a lifetime of suffering, but there’s hope.
By setting up a neutering centre, we can prevent this cycle before it starts, reducing the number of abandoned and neglected animals in our region.
Making a Difference
While our long-term goal is to open a neutering centre, we’re already taking steps to help the dogs in our area. From providing food to strays to connecting with other rescues and learning from their experiences, we’re committed to making an impact. Every small action counts, and with your support, we can do even more.

1. Become an NGO
To make a real impact, we’re registering as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). This will allow us to operate legally, apply for grants, and receive donations to fund our work.
2. Community Neutering & Street Dog Care
Before we secure a property, we’ll focus on:

Offering free or low-cost neutering to pet owners who can’t afford it

Neutering and treating stray dogs to prevent future suffering

Providing basic care like flea & tick treatment for street dogs

Feeding and monitoring stray dogs in the region
3. Establishing a Neutering Centre
Once we’ve raised enough funds, we’ll purchase a property to create a dedicated neutering centre—somewhere safe and fully equipped to carry out high-volume neutering efficiently.
4. Expanding into a Full Rescue
With time, funding, and experience, the goal is to grow into a full-scale rescue centre, offering shelter and rehabilitation to dogs in need.
